F A N T A S T I C is collective project based on critical discussion around arts funding that will act as a catalyst for alternative systems of support for artists.

F A N T A S T I C is a new artist syndicate, established to raise questions about UK arts funding and to provide a structure in which alternative systems and approaches can be explored.

F A N T A S T I C operates as a collective whose numbers may vary from week to week. There is no minimum or maximum membership period.

F A N T A S T I C's primary activity is centred around playing the National Lottery. This weekly ritual forms the basis from which discussion and action develop.

In the event of a National Lottery win, F A N T A S T I C will use its winnings to fund artists' projects in ways that are radical, non-bureaucratic and non-prescriptive. These methods and all elements of F A N T A S T I C will be developed through a process of collective discussion.

All aspects of F A N T A S T I C are open to debate and subject to change.
